Northeast Ohio Youth Football Summit - Virtual

The Cleveland Browns are hosting the 3rd Annual Northeast Ohio Youth Football Summit in a new format - virtually.  The youth football coaches' summit will feature sessions led by local high school coaches, Cleveland Browns coaches, players, and alumni.  During the summit, coaches will learn proper tackling techniques, the fundamentals of coaching, key communication skills, practice preparation, and other essential skills for youth football player, coach and program development.

Day 3 - Mike Krueger, Ed.S, CMAA - Sr. Director of Football Education

Topic: Football Development Model | USA Football 

Mike Krueger Bio:

As USA Football's Senior Director of Football Education, Michael Krueger and his team lead the evolution and design of the Football Development Model (FDM). The FDM is based on long-term athlete development principles and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committees American Development Model.  Krueger's career spans 28 years in public education as an administrator, athletic/activities director, counselor, teacher and coach.

The Colorado native served as chair of the Colorado High School Activities Association's football committee and has earned numerous awards for his work, including the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) 2012-13 State Award of Merit and in 2017 received the NFHS Citation Award.

A former assistant professor at Metro State University Denver, Mike is also a member of the National Teaching Faculty for the NIAAA.  In addition to serving on numerous State and National committees, he is also a Past President of the Colorado Athletics Directors Association.
